Bypass the Windows XP Log-on screen.
If you have only one account on your computer, you can bypass the friendly log-in screen where you click on your icon:
- Click [Start] [Run] and type "control userpasswords2" then click [Ok]
- The "User Accounts" property screen shows.
- Uncheck the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this ocmputer" checkbox.
- Enter a user name and the current password for that user when the dialog appears. Click [Ok]
- Click [Start] [Control panel]
- Open "User Accounts" -> "Change the way users log on and off".
- Uncheck "Use the Welcome Screen" and "Use Fast user Switching"

1. Open a command prompt (start->run->cmd) 2. If you want to determine your current time server, type net time /querysntp 3. Find the server nearest you in the list above and use it here: net time /setsntp:time.nist.gov 4. Restart your time service net stop w32time and then net start w32time or restart Windows. 5. To restore the default settings, enter net time /setsntp. |
